The Situation
Midstream gas plants are seeing increasing needs for reliable power. Delay or breakdown in any of the numerous industrial factors adds uncertainty and cost.
In the Haynesville Shale, a midstream gas processing plant was faced with a lack of utility infrastructure to run its operations. The local utility was already stressed, and a major capital improvement project would be needed to reinforce the grid for plant operation. With additional utility power some 18-24 months away, the customer needed to begin producing as soon as possible.
The Aggreko Solution

Aggreko delivered an emissions-compliant, cost-effective, temporary natural gas solution. The approach enabled the customer to use gas they were already extracting as fuel.

Enabling a drop in emissions and lower fuel costs, Aggreko and the customer commissioned a 1.3 MW natural gas unit to provide primary power utilizing natural gas resources on site. Aggreko delivered a turn­ key solution, installing the custom-designed package without interrupting power or experiencing technical issues from the natural gas switch. Contacted three months prior to the customer completing the plant, Aggreko was up and running before on-site testing began.
